Thesis topic:

Removal of Organic Compounds from Water Using Membrane Processes

Motivation

Solution

The aim of the work will be testing organic and inorganic membranes for the removal of organic pollutants from water. The membranes of different porosity and their suitability for the removal of various types of pollution will be tested. The removability of the contamination will be evaluated for the different types of membranes depending on the size of the macromolecules. The membrane fouling and the possibility of their regeneration in various ways, including regeneration by chemical agents, will be tested. The results should be particularly applicable in the drinking water area.
