Project goals

Accidents in Water Management or Water Leaks in Industrial Facilities are always associated with negative impacts on productivity and efficiency, operational economics, and the environment. Reliable detection and subsequent elimination of such failures in industrial settings remains an unresolved challenge due to the variability and magnitude of flow rates—an issue this project directly addresses.

The main objective is to conduct research and development of a universal technology for detecting and eliminating both accidental failures and long-term leaks. The project will develop original machine learning algorithms that, based on real-time data processing, will enable automatic model calibration, adaptive limit prediction, and subsequent offline elimination of detected faults.

Research and development will be carried out on the Nextdrop control system technology platform, which allows for methodology validation in both laboratory and real-world operational environments.

The project “Detection and Elimination of Water Leaks in Industrial Facilities” is co-financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the Sigma Programme.
