Dr. Ing. Pavel Chudoba
"He graduated from UCT Prague, Department of Water Technology and Environmental Engineering, completing a five-year program with a state examination in 1985 and earning the title Ing. in Chemistry.
In 1987, he moved to France to continue his professional education, pursuing doctoral studies at INSA Toulouse with a specialization in Wastewater Treatment Technology. He was awarded his Ph.D. in 1991. That same year, he joined the research department of Degrémont in France, deepening his expertise in biological wastewater treatment, biofilm-based cultures, and nutrient removal.
In 1999, he returned to the Czech Republic, initially taking up the role of Development Manager at Lyonnaise ČR, and in 2001 became Technical Director of Vivendi Water for the Czech Republic. Over time, his responsibilities evolved, and since 2008 he has served as Technical Director of Veolia Water for Europe. His main focus is the coordination of all technical activities across Veolia’s European operations. In addition to his managerial duties and roles in statutory bodies, he remains actively engaged in issues related to wastewater treatment plants, sludge processing, energy recovery, and overall energy efficiency.
He is the author or co-author of more than 100 professional publications, articles, and patents.
