Ing. Jan Bindzar, Ph.D.

 
 
 

He completed his master’s degree in 1996 and his doctoral degree in 1999, both at the Institute of Water and Environmental Technology at UCT Prague (VŠCHT Praha). Since January 2001, he has held the position of assistant professor at the same institute.

His research focuses on industrial wastewater treatment and physico-chemical purification processes. In recent years, his work has concentrated mainly on Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs)—particularly those based on the use of ozone and hydrogen peroxide.

In the field of water analytics, he specializes in the determination of adsorbable and extractable organically bound halogens (AOX and EOX).
