CITRONOVA team, featuring our (recent) graduate, reaches the European Top 5 at BISC-E!

Great news from the prestigious Bio-based Innovation Student Challenge – Europe (BISC-E)! The international team CITRONOVA—including our student/recent graduate Shahnoor Salah-ud-din (who just defended this September)—won the Belgian national round, passed the European pre-final, and is now among the European Top 5.

The project started as a semester assignment at Ghent University, exploring how to valorize orange-peel waste into a high-value product for the cosmetic industry.

The team will compete for the final title at the European final on November 17, 2026. Congratulations and best of luck!
