Excursion of IMETE to Pilsner WWTP

On Friday, November 29, students of the international IMETE program (International Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Engineering) went on an excursion to the Pilsen wastewater treatment plant.

This mechanical-biological treatment plant with anaerobic sludge stabilization has been in operation since 1964. The biological process includes nitrification and denitrification and enhanced biological phosphorus removal - the R-AN-D-N system.
