ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY
14 - 18 November 2022
The Department of Water Technology and Environmental Engineering (DWTEE) and the Department of Environmental Chemistry regularly provides an Advanced Technology Higher Education Network (ATHENS) course called Environmental Technology. This course is organized by the Czech Technical University in Prague.
The course takes place every autumn and is one week long. You can apply for participation via official ATHENS web page. For more information you can contact education program coordinator Pavla Šmejkalová.
Information for Participants
The main goals of the course are to
- summarize basic principles of environmental technology in water and wastewater treatment, water and soil contamination removal and solid waste treatment
- study the fundamentals of biochemical transformations of pollutants
- discuss economical, energetical and social aspects of environmental protection
- analyse the main problems of environmental protection in the Czech Republic and EU
- present selected technological methods used in environmental protection
